Amidst the ongoing rumours regarding the exit of Shah Rukh Khan from the Rakesh Sharma biopic, reports had surfaced that the actor might be concentrating on the third installment of his 'Don' franchise. However, there was no official confirmation either from the actor on the reports of his walking out of the biopic or starting 'Don 3' or from the director Farhan Akhtar, who would be returning to direction after eight years.
But now according to the latest reports, it seems like fans would have to wait for more to see SRK in the Don avatar. Reports suggest that Farhan Akhtar has denied working on 'Don 3' and teaming up with Shah Rukh Khan. Farhan is busy preparing for his role of a boxer in Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra's film 'Toofan'.

Apart from this, the actor is also busy with Shonali Bose's 'The Sky Is Pink' starring alongside Priyanka Chopra. The actor is also producing other films.

Recently, during the second trailer launch of Sushant Singh Rajput starrer 'Sonchiriya', producer Ronnie Screwvala was asked about the rumours of Shah Rukh walking out of the Rakesh Sharma biopic. He said, "We are not ready to say anything right now." The producer's reply has more or less confirmed the actor's exit from the film.

It seems like that the much-awaited 'Don 3' is not happening anytime soon. It is uncertain whether what would be Shah Rukh Khan's next big screen venture especially after his previous films didn't cast the magic at the box office.
